Yoga Asana (Exercises & Postures)

Yoga Asana Classes

Yoga Asana is the physical practice of yoga that includes exercises, breathing, and relaxation. The purpose of Yoga Asana isn’t fitness.  It is, in part, to take care of the body as our vehicle; and although this may include fitness, it should never be defined by it.  Yoga Asana practice gives us the opportunity to become aware of the body and the life force within the body, helping us to experience that we are not the body but rather the eternal being within the body who needs fulfillment on a level that the body cannot satisfy.  This experience can then lead us to the deeper yoga practices, which are centered around meditation (the heart of yoga) and spiritual inquiry about our eternal identity and purpose.

These classes are gentle and effective for everyone, regardless of age, physical condition, or experience.  They include breathing, alignment, balance, strengthening, toning, stretching, relaxation, and meditation.

NOTE: We do not require masks. We believe it is important to be able to breathe freely while practicing yoga asana and meditation. If you are not comfortable with this, there are some videos we can refer to you for practice on your own.
